Thanks for visiting moonshineracers.com. Here is a quick update on some of the things we are working on. We have been recording a ton of material at our live performances and we will be making a lot of those available on the website. We have also filmed a couple of performances and will actually be working on our first video (probably November Rain). We are planning a busy Spring and Summer live perfrormance schedule for 2008. Some of the highlights will include a Friday, March 28 show at the beautiful, new state-of-the-art Halton theater on the Campus of Central Piedmont Community College. We will also kick off the outdoor music series at the U.S. Whitewater Center on Thursday, May 1st and will play an outdoor luchtime show at the Wachovia atrium in uptown Charlotte on Friday, May 16. We are in the process of getting back in the studio to record new Moonshine Racers and Duff and Otis (Fudd and Cito) material. Our CD Skyline Motel received a very positive review in the April 2006 issue of Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine (very impressive when you realize that BU is the oldest, largest and most respected magazine devoted exclusively to the coverage of Bluegrass music, and is much more oriented toward the traditional Bluegrass crowd).  We were featured in the spring 2006 edition of Honest Tune Magazine, (vol. 7, #2) in an article by Bryan Crain titled “Moonshine Racers: The South’s Oldest New Band.”Check it out at www.honesttune.com.
